If the favoured won at all times, sport would get boring. Before getting to the bronze medal game, my husband and I had already planned to cheer for Switzerland. For the sole reason, that they played their hearts out in the quarter-final to knock off Russia and improved the most from the tournament. But I now realize it was more. In Saskatchewan we always cheer for the underdogs.
When Switzerland scored its first goal, it was almost as if Canada had scored. The cheers were happy. Down , Switerland needed a break. We decided to pop over to WorldFest to see what it was like up on the big screen. I was surprised! The food, the display, the big screens, the cheers, the laughing.
